The terms governing your use of the Farmers & Traders Welfare Association of Rivers State, Nigeria (RC/CAC/IT/No. 77029) website, membership registration, and donations.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website of the Farmers & Traders Welfare Association of Rivers State, Nigeria (“FTWA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including all content, membership registration, donation information, and related services (collectively, the “Site”).
By accessing or using the Site, registering for membership, or making a donation through the channels described on the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Site.
FTWA is a non-governmental organisation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria under RC/CAC/IT/No. 77029, committed to the welfare, empowerment, and development of farmers, traders, women, youths, and students in Rivers State and the wider South-South and South-East regions of Nigeria, in line with our published Vision, Mission, and Policy Documents.
The Site and its membership programme are open to any Nigerian citizen or resident who supports FTWA’s Vision and Mission, regardless of tribe, religion, gender, or disability, subject to the eligibility criteria, categories, and requirements set out in our Membership Registration Policy. Where a prospective member is a minor (e.g., under the Student Member category), registration must be made with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian, or school administrator.
Membership is granted subject to completion of the FTWA Registration Form (online or physical), submission of required documents (including passport photographs and valid identification), payment of the applicable registration fee and annual dues, and verification by the State Coordinator, all as set out in our Membership Registration Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
FTWA offers several membership categories (Student Member, Associate Member, Full Member, Corporate Membership, Excellent in Service & Peace Ambassador, and Active Membership renewal), each with its own eligibility criteria, annual dues, and rights, as detailed on our Membership Registration page. Dues are payable annually on or before 31st January each year. Members who default on dues for more than three (3) months may lose their voting rights, as set out in that Policy.
All members agree to uphold peace, integrity, and respect in all FTWA activities; to observe zero tolerance for fraud, abuse, violence, or discrimination; to attend at least two (2) FTWA meetings or trainings per year; and to promote FTWA’s values in their schools and communities. Breach of the Code of Conduct may result in suspension or expulsion by the National Executive Council (NEC), at FTWA’s sole discretion.
Where the Site enables online payment of membership registration fees or annual dues (via our third-party payment processor, Paystack), you authorise us to process such payment through Paystack’s platform. FTWA does not directly collect, process, or store your card, bank account, or other sensitive payment credentials; these are handled exclusively by Paystack in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to Paystack’s applicable terms before completing a transaction.
The Site displays FTWA’s official bank account details (Zenith Bank PLC) to facilitate voluntary donations by direct bank transfer. Donations made through this channel are governed by the terms of your own bank and of Zenith Bank PLC, and are entirely voluntary. FTWA does not guarantee any particular use, allocation, tax treatment, or return in respect of any donation, other than as described in our published project materials (e.g., our Proposed Projects documentation).
Except as required by applicable law, membership registration fees, annual dues, and donations are non-refundable once processed, as they are applied toward FTWA’s programmes and operations.
The Site includes information regarding FTWA’s proposed initiatives (including the Quality Education Funding Assistance proposal and associated funding requirements). Such content is provided for informational and fundraising purposes only, represents a proposal or appeal for support, and does not constitute a binding commitment, guarantee, investment offer, or solicitation of securities. Actual implementation of any proposed project is subject to the availability of funding, partnerships, and other factors outside FTWA’s control.
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and downloadable documents (such as our Policy Document, Membership Registration Policy, and Proposed Projects proposal) — is the property of FTWA or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and share such materials for personal, non-commercial, and informational purposes related to FTWA’s mission, provided that you do not modify the content or remove any attribution. Any other use, reproduction, or distribution requires our prior written consent.

The Site incorporates or links to third-party services, including YouTube (embedded video), Google Maps (embedded location), Cloudinary (image hosting), Paystack (payment processing), and Google Firebase (data storage and analytics). FTWA does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their own respective terms and privacy policies.
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. While we strive to keep information on the Site (including impact statistics, project proposals, and leadership information) accurate and up to date, FTWA does not warrant that all content is error-free or current at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FTWA, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Site, membership registration, or any donation or payment made through the channels described on the Site, including any acts or omissions of third-party service providers such as Paystack, Firebase, or your own bank.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FTWA, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to FTWA’s Legal Department for good-faith resolution, and, failing resolution, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Site after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
